One of the features of Japanese culture is the idea of compactness and the skills that come with it. From ancient times, the Japanese live in small houses, sleep on foldable beds called “Futon”, and have their meals on foldable tables. This wisdom was born from the sublime Japanese spirit of living in harmony with nature without destroying the environment and wasting resources. From small vessels to tools, Japanese products are well known for their minuteness, functionality and beauty. For the frequent global traveler, I designed a small and lightweight dual-face clock with a long-lasting battery.
