札幌駅のパセオモールの地下広場をデザインしました。森をテーマに広場はテラコッタの壁面彫刻とストライプの石の床とステンレスパイプの丸柱と木の葉形のベンチで構成されています。 明るいショッピングモールの中に暗い憩いの場をつくりたかった。硬質な素材空間の中で、ベンチはクッション性のある柔らかいものになっています。

For the basement of the Paseo Shopping Mall at Sapporo station, I designed a square with dim lights intending to create a space of rest within a brightly illuminated shopping mall. With “the Forest” as a theme, the square consists of a terra cotta mural sculpture, striped stone floors, stainless steel columns and leaf-shaped benches. The benches are of cushioned material in contrast to the hard materials composing the space.
