ポスターの仕事を見てもらう小さな個展を開催するにあたって、案内のポストカードをデザインしました。私にとっては２度目の個展です。 このポストカードを見て、日本を代表するグラフィックデザイナーの田中一光さんが会場に来られ、後日にアイデア誌に田中さんのテキストで記事が掲載されました。そのテキストの中で、田中さんは「才能はどんな小さな仕事に於いても開花する。」、「久しぶりに正統派の同志と呼べる新人に出会った。」と書いてくれました。これが私の日本でのデビューとなりました。

In holding a small exhibition of my posters, I designed an invitation in form of a postcard. This was my second one-man show. The postcard caught the eye of Ikko Tanaka, the great master representing Japanese graphic design. He came to the exhibition and later wrote an article on IDEA magazine about my work. In his article, he wrote: “even in the smallest work talent can bloom” and “it has been a while since I met a newcomer whom I can properly call my equal comrade.” This small exhibition became my debut in Japan.
