故郷の北海道滝川市の隣町である農業の町・新十津川町が１０３年の歴史を閉じた旧吉野小学校を改修して、ぼくのアトリエとギャラリーを中心とした彫刻体験交流施設「かぜのび」をつくってくれた。（改修設計：飯田善彦）
The neighboring agricultural town of Shintotsukawa Town, located in Takikawa City, my hometown in Hokkaido, has renovated the former Yoshino Elementary School, which closed its 103-year history. They have created a sculpture experience and exchange facility centered around my studio and gallery, called “Kazenobi.” (Renovation design by Yoshihiko Iida).
５月から１０月の期間、月曜日を除いて一般公開されている。
小さなショップではここでしか手に入らないぼくの小品が販売されているし、カフェでは特製のクッキーと美味しいお茶が楽しめる。
During the period from May to October, excluding Mondays, it is open to the public.
At the small shop, visitors can purchase my unique works that are only available here, while at the café, they can enjoy specialty cookies and delicious tea.
ここはいわゆる美術館やギャリーとは違っていて、アートと対決するような場所でなく、いい時間を過ごすための素敵な場所にしたいと考えていて、気が付くとアートに囲まれている、そんな場所。だから作品の数も多くはない。
そのかわり、いつもと違う作品に出会えるし、作品が入れ替わって変化する空間を目指している。
その上、一度に入館できる人数を制限しているから、辺境の地であることも幸いして静かな幸せな時間が流れている。
美しい田園風景に囲まれて、のんびりとした時空間を求めて、毎日数名の方々が地元からも遠方からも訪れている。
This place is not a typical art museum or gallery. It’s not a place to confront art, but rather a wonderful place to spend time and be surrounded by art almost unintentionally. We aim to create a space where visitors can have a good time. Therefore, we don’t have a large number of artworks on display.
Instead, we strive to offer an environment where visitors can encounter different artworks each time they visit, as our displays are regularly rotated. Additionally, we limit the number of visitors allowed in at a time, which, being in a remote area, contributes to a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
Surrounded by beautiful rural landscapes, people come here every day seeking a relaxed and tranquil space, with visitors coming from both the local area and distant places.
