五十嵐威暢

五十嵐威暢は、2025年2月12日 進行性核上性麻痺のため札幌市の病院で死去いたしました。80歳。

Takenobu Igarashi passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 80, at a hospital in Sapporo due to progressive supranuclear palsy.

書籍「Bauhaus Typography at 100」に五十嵐威暢のテキストを元に書かれた文章と作品写真が掲載されました。
In the book “Bauhaus Typography at 100,” text and photographs of works by Takenobu Igarashi were featured based on his writings.

MoMAの立体数字「2」のバリエーション

ニューヨーク近代美術館（MoMA）のポスターカレンダーのためにデザインした数字は合計4356個でした。
For the poster calendar of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, Igarashi designed a total of 4,356 digits.

新十津川町応援大使に就任

アトリエ＆ギャラリー「かぜのび」のある北海道新十津川町の応援大使に就任いたしました。
Igarashi has been appointed as an ambassador to support Shintotsukawa Town in Hokkaido, home to Atelier & Gallery “Kazeno-bi”.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art will host an exhibition showcasing typography works from LACMA’s collection.

芸術家のマガリ・ロイスが、米国の美術専門誌、ARTFORUM で、彼女のベスト10を発表し、その2番目に五十嵐威暢のアルミニウム・アルファベット彫刻を選んでいる。
Artist Magali Reus has announced her top 10 in the American art magazine ARTFORUM, and she has chosen Igarashi’s aluminum alphabet sculptures as her second pick.

ルーチェ・アルテ「ムクムク」

北海道新幹線の新駅である新函館北斗駅にルーチェ・アルテとして手吹きガラスとLEDによる新しいステンドグラスの作品を制作しました。
I created a new stained glass artwork using hand-blown glass and LED lights at the new Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station, a new station on the Hokkaido Shinkansen line.

Igarashi is creating a ceramic sculpture to be installed at the Ota-City General Gymnasium.

かぜのび

五十嵐のアトリエとギャラリーを中心とした彫刻体験交流施設「かぜのび」ができました。
The sculpture experience and exchange facility “Kazeno-bi,” centered around Igarashi’s studio and gallery, has been established.

パセオ除幕式

昨年から信楽で制作していた４作品のひとつが、札幌駅パセオの地下広場に設置されました。
One of the four artworks that Igarashi has been creating in Shigaraki since last year has been installed in the underground plaza of Sapporo Station Paseo.

白色テラコッタレリーフ

信楽で制作していた白色のテラコッタレリーフが完成しました。
The white terra-cotta relief Igarashi was creating in Shigaraki is now complete.

American Apparelの店舗外壁にIgarashi Alphabetsが壁画として描かれています。
An American Apparel store in Santa Monica has Igarashi alphabets on the large outdoor wall.
